Lovingly assembled by Secret Furry Hole, the Italian kings of exquisite tiny releases and with a press release by Simon Scott that deserves a release all of its own, Descette is a collection of tracks based around and inspired by tape loops – featuring the sounds of cassettes we thought we’d left behind many years ago.
Seven tracks on a one sided 12” single, screen-printed covers on recycled paper, 200 copies, one beautiful video collaboration by Cristopher Cichoki
When Robin met former Hefner front-man Darren Hayman at a recent festival, Darren asked if we would like to remix a track from his new album “Lido“. It’s a delightful record, so we were more than happy to oblige. Hope you enjoy the results, it’s a free-to-download split single with a lovely remix by Frances “Hardy Tree” Castle on the other, erm, side.
(and there are some very kind words from Darren and a video here.)
Our track “Gunnera” was used by Lightscape (Ireland) to accompany a really beautiful projection-mapping performance last month. The installation took place as part of Drop Everything, a festival which took place on Inis Oirr, the smallest of the Aran Islands and one of the most westerly points in Europe. Wish we could have been there to perform it live… maybe next time! Thanks to Lightscape for using our music and sharing this video of the performance:
It’s always wonderful to experience someone else’s vision of our music – Keith Telfeyan’s video for “Working in Dust” from Plans Drawn in Pencil is a lovely, sun-hazed view from the inside of our dream studio…
